CHEF FOR A DAY
A culinary immersion to learn how to prepare with your hands some of the leading dishes of the Emilian tradition. Experienced chefs will reveal the secrets of the Modenese gastronomic tradition and will also suggest the matches with local wines. At the end of the lesson, which will last about three hours, you will eat all together the food cooked during the class.
In the afternoon, a pleasant guided tour through the streets of the charming old town centre of Castelvetro, a jewel of the province of Modena, with its towers, churches, palaces and the characteristic chessboard paving of the Piazza della Dama.
You can also visit Fili d’Oro a Palazzo (Golden Yarns at Palace), an exhibition of Renaissance-style dresses, finely handmade by volunteers of the Dama Vivente Association.
The day will end among the sweet and rolling hills of Castelvetro, discovering the main product of the area that is Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOP. You will experience a guided tour in a wine production cellar as well as in an acetaia (vinegar cellar), where you will discover the secrets and the production phases of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP, a precious and ancient ritual passed down from generation to generation. You can also have a tasting of this precious product.Activities are on reservation
